Because most of the PALS certification is offered online, students can study when and where it's convenient, at their own pace, with 24-hour access to materials. (Note: In-person skills testing is required for this first-time PALS certification. Online recertification courses are conducted 100% online.

This pediatric advanced life support (PALS) course helps potential pediatric responders learn what to watch for and how to perform in a pediatric cardiopulmonary emergency. Taking this course can improve results of a responder's efforts to stabilize young patients.

As a part of the cardiopulmonary training, students learn about and prove their ability to perform many different skills, including how to coordinate a response team, assessment of pediatric conditions, and management of respiratory conditions.
